Treatment Information
Move the arm or leg where the shot was given. Treat swelling with a cold pack (1 or more crushed ice cubes in a plastic bag wrapped in a towel no longer than 20 minutes). Do not rub or apply heat to the shot area.
Recommended treatment for elevated temperatures (101° or more):
| Give medication by mouth according to age. Do not give sooner than every 4 hours (see table below). | |

| Sponge child’s head, hair, and chest with lukewarm (not cold) water. | |
| If fever does not go down after these treatment recommendations, call you doctor. |
