Board Certified Family Practice Kevin Wingert is a strong believer
in preventative medicine. "Sixty-five percent of all disease that
physicians treat is related to a person's lifestyle. These life factors should
be addressed before there is a need for treatment which may result in unnecessary
side effects." He enjoys working with his patients to keep them on the
path of good health. "Often simple, inexpensive changes can dramatically
reduce a person's risk of disease." He believes "The number of years
you spend alive is not nearly as important as the number of years you spend
healthy." Dr. Wingert completed training in acupuncture at UCLA in 2000
and became board certified in acupuncture in 2002. Dr. Wingert enjoys his busy household. His
wife, Catherine, an R.N., also has a Master's Degree in Divinity. The Wingerts
have two children, Charles and Mary. Dr. Wingert's hobbies include hiking,
camping, snow shoeing, and church activities. He also now offers prolotherapy
which is an injection technique to relieve chronic joint pain. Medical School: University of California San Francisco School of
