Dr. Schaffner’s goal is to keep his patients healthy.

"I prefer to care for my patients with preventive care and routine checkups that give an alert to problems rather than simply serving the illness of patients." Dr. Schaffner believes serving the health of patients today takes commitment and understanding. "Healthcare today sometimes forces a physician to hurry a patient through, but I feel the most important part of being a doctor is to truly care about the needs, pains and fears of your patients."

Dr. Schaffner enjoys the mountain lifestyle of Oakhurst when he is away from his office. He enjoys working in the yard and in his wood shop.
